<TITLE>12. Par 40-42</TITLE>L-40 The next day on his road to take the lamb to the sacrifice--up to the temple to have it sacrificed, said Caiaphas, the high priest was standing on the wall, and he said, "Blind Bartimaeus, where goest thou?"
He said, "Oh, high priest, is that your voice?" He said, "I'm going to the temple to sacrifice this lamb. God healed my little girl, and I promised Him I'd give Him this lamb."
And said the high priest, said, "Oh, blind Bartimaeus, thou cannot sacrifice that lamb. Here, I'll give you some money and you go buy a lamb from the market up there and sacrifice that lamb."
He said, "Oh, high priest, I never promised God a lamb; I promised Him this lamb."
He said, "But, blind Bartimaeus, thou's cannot give that lamb. That lamb is your eyes. That's all the eyes you got, blind Bartimaeus. You can't give that lamb. It's your eyes."
He said, "Oh, high priest, I keep my promise to God, and God will provide a lamb for blind Bartimaeus."
It was a cold day. But when that noise came out of the side of the building, God had provided a Lamb for blind Bartimaeus' eyes.
My dear friend, that same Lamb is provided for you tonight. If you're sinful, and your eyes has never been opened to see the Light of God as a saved man or woman, boy, or girl, that Lamb has been sacrificed for you tonight. If you're sick, and ready to die, and your doctor has done all he can do... The man has done what he can. But there's a Lamb for your sickness tonight.

L-41 And let us bow our heads while we speak to this Lamb. Oh, God, we're taught in the Bible that upon the throne in the gloryland there was One setting Who had a Book sealed on the back side with Seven Seals. And the prophet wept because there was no man worthy to take the Book to loose the Seals. And there was a Lamb came up, One that had been slain from the foundation of the world. And It was worthy to take the Book and to loose the Seals; that Lamb of God.
I can just imagine when blind Bartimaeus knew that He had stopped somehow or got into the Presence of his provided Lamb... We see him now, not trying to fold his coat and lay it down neatly so he, well, if he don't get his sight, well he will be able to find it. We're taught that he cast away his garment. He knew he'd find it. Just so he got to the Lamb...

L-42 Oh, come, Lamb of God. Cast blindness from people's eyes tonight, that's trusting because they have joined church or some physical something that's happened. God, let the love of God pour into their heart. Grant it, Lord. Take away all stony conditions and let love Divine poor into their heart by that Lamb tonight. And heal the sick. For we ask it in His Name.
And while we have our heads bowed, I wonder if there's one here tonight that may be groping along in church darkness, not knowing just which way to turn, whether to become a Methodist, or remain a Presbyterian, or Pentecostal, or you just don't know what to do. Don't you want Him to give you your spiritual sight tonight by blessing you and kissing all the doubts away?
If you're a sinner here and want to be remembered in prayer, just raise up your hand to God while everybody is praying now. And I'll pray for you, and the rest of the congregation will to. Will you raise your hand, somebody that needs Christ tonight and know that you need Christ? Will you raise up your hand? I don't know your heart; God does. But the Lamb that came by Jericho that day...
